Growing Up Free

We have a responsibility to our youth, children around the
world, to encourage them to become the best adults they can be,
regardless of circumstance. It is the goal of Growing Up Free to
encourage people young and old, tech and non-tech, male and female, to
come together in an effort to make technology available to all children,
without pause for financial status, familial status, or social
circumstances. Every child deserves the opportunity to achieve his or
her dreams, and by providing technology to children, we afford them
those dreams.

Technology in and of itself is instructive, and not
necessarily just a means by which to access education. Rather, knowing
the ins and outs of all things technical can and often does provide a
very good future, and allowing children the access to technology, with
which to experiment and learn, should be a forefront goal in the
technical community. Growing Up Free strives to be a meeting place, a
coming-together of parents, children, communities, and organizations,
where we can exchange information, provide support, and gather
together. We seek to connect people, organizations, companies, and
families, all of whom share a common goal: getting computers into the
hands of children to encourage learning and foster hope.
